Skincare Supporting Fashion
N8iV Beauty Sponsors Top Fashion Shows at SWAIA and Seneca Niagara Fashion 2024.
Introducing N8iV Beauty Skincare, the first skincare brand created by a Native woman that uses the power of the acorn to create luxury, sustainable products. Founded by Ruth-Ann Thorn, a tribal member of the Rincon Band of Luiseño/Payómkawichum Indians in Southern California. Ruth-Ann is a visionary of skincare cosmetics with a new product line of 8 products - each with ingredients that have a powerful connection to her tribal roots.
The brand stands as the first Indigenous-owned skincare line to offer such unique formulations, providing a link between past and present while promoting the wellness and beauty. N8iV Beauty products carry the wisdom and teachings of Native elders, bringing holistic healing and nourishment into the lives of all who use them.
N8iV Beauty celebrates not only the strength and resilience of Native cultures but also the creativity that flourishes within Indigenous communities. As one of the key sponsor for SWAIA Fashion Week, N8iV Beauty worked with Creator’s Favorite Brand Consultant, A’ngelee Clause, to curate a photoshoot styled with leading Indigenous fashion creatives - Auntie Creations, K.Lookinghorse, Patricia Michaels, and Wabanoonkwe.
The captivating imagery featured in this campaign was captured by Darklisted Photography, a talented Indigenous photographer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the culture, Darklisted Photography captured the brand’s essence, sharing the natural beauty of the products, the strength of the models, and the rich history of Native peoples. Models from Native backgrounds across Turtle Island were spotlighted in this campaign - spotting A’ngelee, Chondra Fox, Courtney Running-Rabit, Margaret Faliano, Nanahbah Grace, and Tesla Wolfe.
